You better watch out, you better not cry… unless it’s laughing until you cry at this holiday season’s highly anticipated Christmas-Horror mashup, The E(XMAS)IST, running this December for two weekends only at Crashbox in East Austin.
In this regional premiere, playwright Vince Kelley and director CB Goodman artfully serve up the most iconic moments of the classic horror film, The Exorcist, with a heaping dose of festive shenanigans, candy canes, and an epic battle between Santa and Krampus, the Christmas demon. The E(XMAS)IST stars local comedy and stage favorites Jose Da’Hype as Krampus, Kyle Romero as Santa, Vincent Tomasino as Regan, Kelli Bland as Karl the Butler, Kat Ellison Williams as Damien Tinselbottom, and Jay Byrd as Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil.
